15 Mpbs is $45.99 a month
30 Mpbs is $61.99.
Is there anything at my home that limits my ability to take advantage of the 30 Mbps. Is it a noticeable difference?
We have a DIR-655 linked with 3 computers in our home.
I read a review somewhere that said there wasn't much difference, but I wanted another opinion.
What about bumping down to 1.5 for $34.99? Will I notice a difference between that and 15 Mpbs?

1.5 would suck a little definitely a difference between that and 30. Unless your doing some hard core transferring 30 is a little excessive but multiple hard core users would take 30 and turn it into a slow crawl.
It really depends on your usage. A single download connection at any given time usually wont even exceed 1.5 Mbps although say a torrent delivered file coming from multiple sources (Actually how MGS 4's online updates are done) can exceed that if there is enough sources.
But for gaming while someone else is watching youtube while someone else is browsing a forum and doing some windows updates. 15 Mbps internet isnt bad at all. -
I have the 15Mb package myself, and between me and my roommate we don't have any issues at all, and I'm usually downloading torrents at 1.5MB/s while he streams netflix up to his room via wireless. I've also played games while he streams too and he hasn't complained.
1.5Mbps is around 200 kilobytes, not good if you're running 3 compuers off it. -
I am at the 15 MB package if that was not clear.

Remember that the 'speed' you're paying for is the local loop. From your house to the local tech plant of the cable company. Beyond that you're at the mercy of the follow-on connections to the internet, the same connections that everyone is using.

I realize that this may sound weird at first glance but had you needed the upgrade you would have known about it already.
You already have the 15mbps line so if it was too slow you would have noticed that you are maxing out your connection.
If you're not sure- that means you haven't noticed such situations (or at least it doesn't happen often).
Obviously you may benefit from the upgrade on occasion but for additional $16 a month? I don't think it's worth it.
