    I have a BenQ S73EG (Europe)
    It's three weeks old
    Inside I have Atheros 5006EX

I have the rmclock application and when I walk away from the router (I tried with two routers) and I mean just a couple of steps (5 meters starts it) the CPU load and OS load graphs in the rmclock go crazy to about 100%

When I looked in windows panel showing which process takes it, windows doesnt show it, so winows doesnt show nothing, the rmclock shows the CPU is overloaded and me when I use opera or acrobat, or anything I notice at my computer is choking, I turn off the wireless and all goes normal (except that I have no mor connetion).

Can someone please explain it, just a few steps away from the router which stands on my desk and the new laptop sweats to managey browser!

    thanks
    John

I think we may have a case of spurious correlation here ;) My guess is that we're not seeing a third related variable.

An example of spurious correlation: during summer time, more kids eat ice cream. Also during summer time, more kids drown in pools. Therefore, ice cream causes drowning.

Just curious, how consistent is this behaviour? Is it EVERY single time you walk 5m away from your laptop? Or take the laptop 5m away from router? Are you sure your system doesn't have any malware on it? This is a very strange occurrence. I'm just throwing ideas around so other more knowledgeable people can help you better :)
