I just reinstalled windows on my Presario 2200 and installed all the drivers for it, I installed the Broadcam Wireless LAN Driver and I get the icon, it detects my wireless network, I enter my password and it's like as if it's connected but it's really not. The status says "Acquiring Network Address".. does anyone have any suggestions for me?

Make sure that your antivirus or firewall is not blocking the connection, or reset your router.

Do you have security enabled - WEP/WPA ? If you do disable it and try to reconnect.

Delete your connection and have it do a survey again. When it ask for the the key make sure it is like the router, wpa, wpa2 ... Then enter the key again. My guess is the key is wrong or wrong type of sec.

If that does not work do a manual setup from your location manager. If this is MEII (aka Vista) it seams to only like WPA2, or WPA. It does not like WEP at all.
