My husband is kind of wondering about Vonage or some other broadband phone. However, we both just bought laptops within the last 4 months, and we are totally wireless, using a d-link router off a cable modem. Does anyone know how you'd route the wireless-phone adapter-modem deal, or if it would not work at all? I tried searching prior threads, and as far as I could see, no one's answered this particular question.

It would certainly be cheaper than our current deal, and it seems like they've kind of fixed a lot of the 911 problems (although no power would still be an issue - but then, we do both also have cells in that instance.) I just don't want to pursue it any further if our wireless won't work with the service.

Wouldn't you just plug the base unit into the router? That is still wired. There is a setup video on Vonage's website.

I wondered about that, but I looked at Vonage's site yesterday and didn't see any diagram other than modem-phone adapter-phone. I might have missed something. I'll look again.

So, does anyone use broadband phone and like it, if it's possible?
