I just bought a new F3JP from penta computers. It came with Vista home premium installed. The problem I have is when I search for wireless networks it cannot "see" or detect my home wireless network. I am using a NEetcomm NB600W router. My dell 6400 and my brothers Dell d620 can see the network no problem although they are running XP.
I even installed XP and had the same issue. It could not see any wireless network. Even my phone that has wireless built in can see my wireless connection.
I even checked SSID is on show. I uninstalled and reinstalled drivers. It simply does not see the network and my Dells are seeing a strong signal.
I took it to Penta today where I bought it and they somehow got it up and working fine on their wireless network.
Any body have any ideas? Its a real bummer my new lappy doesnt perform =\

One thing that it could be is that your network is running on channel 12-14. If it is then you need to change your wifi drivers settings to the europe. Nothing else I can think of. Try installing netstumbler to see if your wifi detects anything.

Thanks for your help wave. I just managed to figure out the problem and am typing this from my F3JP running smoothly on the net! The problem actually was my network router. I resetted it to factory settings and noted that when I use WEP security requiring a key, my lappy didnt like it and would even acknowledge the network. I noted when there was no security my laptop would find the network. I used the stronger network security encryption and it works ! No joke I spent the whole day Sunday 10am till 11pm yesterday trying to fix it and did every possible thing from reinstalling windows versions to driver updates only to realise it was a simple 5 minute fix! Well im glad its working now but it just goes to show its always that little thing u dont check =)
