A couple times at a friend's place, I was left alone and became bored. Using their internet on my phone, I surfed the web ending up checking out some porn. Afterwards I became worried that they might notice their usage is up, look and see what I did. Is this possible? I don't want to tarnish my reputation with them

Addresses of sites you visited will be recorded by their ISP but not likely at their modem or router. If they run a server there (most people don't) then there will be no trace "in the building".

Unless you were downloading GB's you will be unlikely to raise any suspicions.

In the future use your 3G/4G and pay your way if you are using the net for "strictly personal use".

No, for all intents and purposes its not possible. That is unless they had set up meant for monitoring websites they had put in place before - to monitor their own household, which is extremely unlikely and not very practical (since it would have to be done on a router level.

I was just putting the server comment incase they ran a business from home and had monitored access because of employee use. But then again, if they did have these things, it would also be likely they would block access to forbidden materials anyway.
