I am trying to use my Divoom Voombox which has bluetooth connectivity. I have used this Voombox painlessly with two mobile phones on bluetooth. I have posted here as I suspect it's the OS at fault.

I have tried to connect to my Samsung laptop very painfully and with zero success. Actually I've found over the years the bluetooth ease of use and connectivity support on Win7 to be atrocious.

Windows has verified drivers as installed see attachment and it is reported as being connected.

No other bluetooth devices are active or linked to my laptop. When I chose the services mode for the device it takes Win8 minutes to discover services for my device. If it does at all.

Please stop me from going insane and tell me where I'm going wrong

You need to go into your Sound control panel and set your Voombox as the default playback device.
