After searching, I find few if any people answer bluetooth related questions on NBR. So this is directed to anyone who actually uses BT for hookups to amplified BT headphones and speakers in particular.

So, I have updated drivers on three recent laptops w/Intel 6230 wifi/bluetooth card: a Sony Z13 (2010, W7) and a Z22 (2011, W7 model) and a new Samsung S 7 Ultra (brand new 2013 model w/W8). I have 3 models of BT headphones and 3 BT portable speakers. Recently, it seems, more than in past, I find that I can't connect to long-paired devices from the computers mentioned above, all with Intel 6230s.

The single most "reliable" way to fix this is remove the BT device from Devices and Printers and re-pair/install the device. It makes using the BT devices all but useless, too much trouble. But I really like using them otherwise.

Ideas that go beyond reinstalling Intel/Laptop brand wireless/BT drivers much appreciated.
