For some reason my bluetooth stopped working in my dv8000t. Pressing the wireless button on my laptop doesn't work. HP Wireless Assistant says it's simply Off, but there is no option to turn bluetooth back on. Then I tried reinstalling both the Intel network adapter and bluetooth drivers from hp.com, but when installing the bluetooth driver an error pops up that says "bluetooth device not found." Does anybody know how to resolve this?

I'm sorry, but have you ever considered your bluetooth module died? It sounds to me that's the problem, still under warranty..?

That's always a possibility, but the thing is: i don't even USE bluetooth on my laptop, except for one time just to make sure it worked, which it did. And no, warranty is expired.
