    Looking for the collective expertise here to recommend a bluetooth headset meeting the following;

    1) For use in a vehicle (patrol car)
    2) Mono headset (i.e. wear over one ear)
    3) Want to be able to listen to laptop audio - i.e. Windows Media
    4) Want to be able to use with Skype, Dragon etc
    5) Need concurrent connection with cellphone (not use concurrently, but be able to listen to PC but answer phone if it rings - i.e. don't want to have to have another headset for cellphone)
    6) Reasonable battery life - approx 8 hours mixed use
    7) Reasonable ambient noise reduction
    etc etc

    Am I asking too much? My laptop specs are in my profile if you need them.

    Thanks :confused:

    1) should be able to... most headsets have some type of reinforcement to keep it on the ear
    2) most are one-ear
    3) as long as your laptop support A2DP over Bluetooth, sure
    4) yep
    5) there is a problem here... a lot of bluetooth headsets only allow pairing to one device... if you want to pair it with another device, you need to reset it and pair it again ( i guess if it allows multiple pairings at once and sees both devices, whicih device does it pair with?)
    6) most bluetooth allow at least 8 hours of use
    7) some devices have noise cancellation/reduction

    don't really have a BT device to recommend, just giving you the facts here
