Can you give more info such as operating system of laptop. Do you have windows or widcomm bluetooth and what version. Is your laptop equipped with bluetooth wireless or are you using a dongle. Are you sure that the bluetooth is turned on. On my Xp Laptop with bluetooth and widcomm drivers I right click on the bluetooth symbol and click on bluetooth configuration first. I then click on the accessibility tab and check the box on let other bluetooth devises discover computer. I then pair by right clicking on the bluetooth symbol again and select add a bluetooth devise and follow prompts. Your system or dongle would walk you through this if this was your first time. I use bluetooth to listen with stereo bluetooth headsets, swap files with my palm an surf the web with my palm and other pdas. I have found that bluetooth can be tricky at first so please send more info and I am sure myself or someone may be able to help.

have you even tried to make the connection/pairing or are you simply assuming that a 2.0 device will not work with a 2.1 machine/host adapter?
