I am confused to whether or not my new laptop has bluetooth in it already, or if I need an external USB bluetooth dongle. Can anyone help? I would like to use this feature if I already have it!

    Thanks!

I have tried Fn F6 already...it did nothing...and there isn't the B thing in my system tray...someone told me that I need to download a driver...if so, can you help me with what one?!

Some Gateways come bluetooth "ready" as mine does. You may need to have an internal card installed or buy a BT dongle for the USB (external). The best bet is to call a tech and see if your notebook has the antennae in it already.

    Merry Christmas!

Does it cost money to call a tech? Who do I call? Bestbuy?

Call Gateway's support and ask. Not that it's very likely you'll get a straight answer. I'd imagine if the machine shipped from the factory with no bluetooth drivers, though, that it's unlikely that it has built-in bluetooth.

    1 (800) gateway.

    Sorry I didn't specify earlier.

I have a similar issue, which I posted in this forum. I am just trying to figure out where to install the card. I have an external dongle also.

    Hope this helps.
