I didn't know where to post this, and the AIM help site wasn't very specific on the topic.

It says that if you block a buddy on AIM, they get removed from your buddy list and you will never hear from them again.

Does that mean that you too will be removed from their list? I'm sending somebody I know IMs and they aren't responding. I'm not sure if I've been blocked or not

If you block them, then you will appear offline to them. If you're blocked, you cannot see them as being online. If someone is invisible then that person will appear offline but infact be online.

If you report spam and block then they will be deleted.

Just blocking will not remove them from your users / buddy list.

I use AIM 6.8 (newest one) by the way, but I think it's the same with the older-and-still-popular-for-some-reason 5.9 version
