Best wireless router for about $40 or $50?

I just bought a WRT54G2 for $50, but it sucks. The wireless keeps dropping for no reason that I can come up with - signal strength good, no microwave or anything running - and I've seen others complaining of the same problem, so I think I'm going to bring it back. Should I get a WRT54G? Or is there something better for about the same price?

I have the WRT54G...love it and have no problems. Everyone that asks me to set up a WiFi network for them gets this router too...I haven't heard about any problems from them.

Same thing, also have the WRT54G, and have no problems. I would recommend it again, maybe the one you got was lemon.

Linksys has good routers, so may be your laptp platform doesn't work well with them, I would say try other brands (D-Link, Netgear, etc).
