This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Google Fiber is coming to my area and TWC is scrambling to keep up so its time for a Cable Modem and Router upgrade.

    I am considering the:
    • NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900 Wi-Fi DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem Router (C7000-100NAS)
    • NETGEAR Nighthawk X6 AC3200 Tri-Band Wi-Fi Router (R8000)
    But I am not convinced these are the best options and apparently Netgear is really proud of their stuff, they use to be priced reasonable, now they think they are worth allot of money.
