Can someone tell me what is the best router for the dell e1505? My budget is around $50 give or take. I live in a 2 story 2 bedroom apartment. Also how does the wifi work in hotels and such? I have never owned a laptop and am just wondering. Thanks in advance.

I had my wireless router setup and ready to go the day after I placed my order for a E1405 :)

Originally I had bought a Netgear, unsure right now what the model number was. In a word.. horrible. It lasted all of 2 hours before I was on my way back to return it. Nothing but headaches, just a ton of dropped connections and spontaneous power cycling.

In exchange I picked up a Linksys WRT54G. Not a single problem. I have it setup in my basement and am able to work in the upstairs bedrooms with no problems and very little signal degredation. Very easy to setup!

My recommendation is to stick with the big guy... Linksys has built a pretty good reputation.

Thanks for the help...may I ask where you purchased the Linksys WRT54G and how much you paid for it?

You can also look at D-Link. They make good routers as well.
