    Hello,

I have had a Belkin F5D7230-4 wireless router for quite a while (almost 2 years). However, in the last days it has shown a very annoying behaviour:

When it is powered up, it never finishes 'booting'. The 'Power' LED never goes on and neither does the WLAN. Just the '2' and '3' LEDs (that indicate machines on the wired connection) light up. If I keep cycling power to it, it eventually works nicely until it's kept powered off for a few hours or days.

Seems that the router is about to give up.
Any ideas? I tried restoring to the factory defaults, the firmware is already latest etc...

    Thanks!

I have never found Belkin to be reliable. If you got 2 yrs count your self very lucky. I would not waste the time on it, just replace it. There are a bunch of threads on what you need. Also check out SmallNetBuilder but don't wast your money on Belkin.

I agree with Blue68f100, 2 years is (amazingly) good from a Belkin.

I could toss out some theories on the problem, but the repair always boils down to the same thing, replace it. You got 2 years from it, be happy.
