Hey Peeps, what are people's Bluetooth (BT) Options for Notebooks/laptops & their price : performance effects for say GPS (or other connection intensive apps):

    1) Are internal BT cards worth the say $50 manufacturers like to charge or are you just paying extra for a compact internal component with less range?

    2) What about USB /PC Card/Slot Bluetooth adapters? Ex:

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00006B7DB/ref=nosim/102-0576830-0867350?n=172282 (D-Link DBT-120 Bluetooth USB Adapter $19 ) - seem to be a lot of complaints there.

-Lastly I noticed a prospective BT GPS receiver said under compatibility:

"NOTE: For Bluetooth GPS receiver to work on your laptop, your laptop must has Bluetooth Radio feature and supports Serial Port Protocol (SPP)."

Don't all recent BT on XP SP2 have above aforementioned features/support??

    Thanks
