    I am trying to upgrade the Artheros Wi-Fi driver in my HP notebook.
    I have tried the usual uninstall device/driver, reboot, point to the folder where the driver I want but it keeps going back to what "it" thinks is best.
    How can I install the driver I want, not what it thinks is best;
    Thanks

    Install manually.
    Go to device manager. Atheros card, properties, driver, update driver, browse my computer and then instead of choosing the folder use the lower option- "let me choose from the list" and click "choose disk" button- only then browse to the folder and choose inf file.
