I am planning on buying an Averatec 6128H1 notebook for college. It fits my needs perfectly, but a friend mentioned something about it might not be compatible with the Internet. I'm going to college and I need to know if this notebook has the right ports or modems to connect to Broadband internet. Any help would be appreciated.

It should have both a 56k modem and a 10/100 base ethernet. And it will also have a wireless card (or at least it should). Those items are pretty much standard on notebooks (not always the wireless tho), esp since the internet is so widespread and used so much.

I would just like to note that with the p4 HT in it it wont get more then 1 hr 20 min off the battery. Unless you are using it as a complete desktop replacement, you might be better off with a different model if you are going to use it for notetaking in classes.

Thanks for all the help. The battery life doesn't really bother me, it's not that big of a deal. Again, thanks for helping.
