    Hello!

I have a problem with an "automatic private adress"..
    I have two network adapters..
    Nvidia nForce Networking Controller (100mbps)
and other one is some old Realtek (10mbps)

The problem is I can`t connect to the Internet using my Nvidia Nforce Network adapter..Normally it should be something like (Properties)
Assigned by DHCP..but all i get is "automatic private adress" and it sends a few packages but didn`t recieve anything..
With that old Realtek everything runs smoothly..it acquires a new ip and on "properties" it`s Assigned by DHCP like usually..

What`s wrong with Nvidia Nforce network adapter???

I tried to google it..Can`t find anything..

What is the exact model of the nVidia controller? Are you using windows to control the card or are you using nvidia software? your network is setup to hand out the IPs or is it setup to use static IPs? Also, when you are having this problem, are you already connected with the realtek card? what i see alot at work is people complaining that their internet does not work but they are getting IPs. what is happening is the wireless is connecting and then they are plugging in a CAT6 cable and there is some issue with the computer trying to decide which IP to use and neither connection works. try disabling the realtek card in the device manager (right click my computer>>properties>>hardware tab>>device manager>>netowrk adapters>>right click>>disable). see if that makes any difference.
