I hope I spelled it right, but which wireless card is better for a laptop?

Get the Atheros. Intel wireless cards suck. At least my Intel 2200b/g does. My connection will just randomly drop out on me. I have tried all of the drivers but none of them helped. Bad Intel. :(

i agree with timu24, my intel pro card just drops the connection inexplicably, and doesn't work at all when i'm using the battery. The atheros cant be as bad...

Even the new intel pro 3945 cards have connection problems? This could be a problem...

I never had any problems with my intel 3945abg dropping out, but I did find that when i upgraded to the Atheros AR5006EX-based card I had a stronger signal and detected more networks from my apartment.

There might be a problem with your wireless card antenna which is not properly installed on your notebook. Did you check?

I have a similar question comparing wireless cards (mini PCI) with the
Texas Instruments chip TNETW1130 inside to the recent Intel wireless cards.

Someone has idea what is "better"?

I tried to google it out without much success.
