I am looking to add an external wireless antenna to my mini pci card via the exress card slot on my asus z96j ( attatching a pigtail to my card and threading the connector through the empty slot). Both the main and aux connectors on my intel pro wireless card are occupied, Do they go to separate antennas? Would it be ok for me to detach the aux, and hook up my own antenna through that connection? Would that compromise my wireless signal when not using the antenna? If so, could I splice another wire into the aux wire to attach to my ext antenna???

    Any thoughts?
