On the inside, it's completely different from previous models, boasting the new Broadcom BCM4709 Wi-Fi chipset, an Arm Cortex A9 dual-core 800MHz CPU, and 256MB of DDR RAM.

600 Mbps for 33% faster performance

Five Gigabit Ethernet ports for fast, stable wired network connections

Dual USB ports with USB 3.0 for ten times faster data transfer than USB 2.09(1x3.0,1x2.0)

Dual-core processor for fast and responsive performance with Wi-Fi, Ethernet and USB devices

Great specs. Soon we'll be able to transfer at a throughput rate of 1Gbps wirelessly. Just keep upping the MIMO streams and QAM. Technically, the technology that allows Gbps throughput exists today (802.11ad), but the range makes it useless for normal use.

Do you guys know if we can use some other DDNS besides dyndns with this router with its stock firmware?

Also, is there an option to automatically power down/slow spinning of an external hard drive connected to the usb 3.0 when nothing is trying to access it?

Has anyone used aicloud and do you like it? Can I automatically and remotely backup everything from my mobile devices onto my router connected hard drive through it?

If anyone can answer even one of these questions I'd be happy. I'm excited for this router.
