I will keep my story short lol
Forgive me for english is not my main language....

Recently i bought an Asus n55SF laptop, my son also uses it for gaming.
Now....The azureweave atheros 9002wb-1ng wifi which is in it was giving me packet loss, lag spikes and disconnects. Especially when gaming it got really bad...
Tried different wifi drivers and different router settings (DIR-855), none of them worked.....Other laptops in my home (wife and daugther dont have issues)

So i tried to find answers on the big www and found out a lot of people are having the same issues...
Then i bought an intel centrino 6300 from ebay and when i installed it, it gave me an error 10 code which means device cannot be started.....Tried the card in another laptop and same issues....
Tried different drivers, no go !!!
BUT: in Linux ubuntu live the 6300 works perfectly in my N55SF !!!
In windows 7 x64 it doesnt....
The only thing that works is a usb wifi adapter, but spending 1200 euros for a laptop and finding out the wifi card is garbage doesnt add...

End of the story, i cant find the problem....(and my knowledge of computers is quite good for i have been working in the it for over 10 years now...)
Is this hardware related trouble or a windows problem......

My guess is that the 6300 you bought is vendor specific- i.e. Lenovo.
These work in Windows only with drivers supplied by vendor (not the Intel ones) but seem to work fine in Linux.

So check that angle- HP or Lenovo the latter being more likely.

    Thx for the info....
I just checked the card and as you stated it seems to be a Lenovo part...
    Part number FRU 60Y3193
So what you mean is i have to look for this specific lenovo driver (driver signing issues)

It's not a driver signing issue- it's something else.
    Anyway- yes- try Lenovo drivers.

Found lenovo drivers from the lenovo newly released driver page.
Will try em tonight and get back here....

I knew it was a Lenovo part, though the seller ensured me it would work.
Anyway you slice it, he told me he would do a refund if it didnt work at the end, so i guess its allright for me.
I will buy a genuine intel 6300 without restrictions lol
