got my new laptop yesterday, trying to set it up on my wireless network. i am trying to find the network but all it says is not connected - no connections are available.
also, my old router was faulty so this is also a brand new router (netgear dgn 2200) that i have set up tonight and i have it working through ethernet cable on my desktop pc and through wireless on another laptop in the house. i can also get the new laptop working through the ethernet cable, so i guess that means it's due to the wireless card??
have tried using the wireless function key to turn WLAN on but it just comes up with the WLAN and bluetooth icon, both with crosses through them.

this is the laptop i bought
