For a couple of days now, at random times, my connection will randomly be lost, then automatically reconnect. Router or Laptop problem? Thanks.

I've got the same issue with my ASUS G50Vt. We both have the Intel WiFi Link 5100 AGN card. If I remember correctly they are known to have connection problems, so some people seem to replace them with the 5300.

    I had this same problem.

You need to go to the Intel website, and manually download the new drivers. Windows will say you're updated, and searching for updated drivers through the driver properties will yield no results.

But, sure enough... on the Intel download page, there are newer drivers.

I assume you have a 64 bit windows.

Yes, downlaod the newest drivers from Intel's Website.

If that does not work, the 5100 as said, is known to have problems.
You can compare intel 5300's HERE
