    Aspire 8735G Intel WiFi Link 5100 AGN wifi drivers

    The drivers i have in my machine are for the Intel WiFi Link 5100 AGN 13.0.0.107 are there any other newer drivers for this? i also thought that this could transfer more than 54.0 Mbps over wifi? when i watch hd videos over wifi they are pretty choppy!! any help on this would be great.

    There are more recent drivers available directly from Intel. Check their website- I don't know what OS are you using so can't tell you which is the most recent version.

    As for 54mbps- in order to get to 802.11n speeds you need a router/AP capable of doing it and you need to make sure your security settings are set to WPA2+AES (and wireless mode is set in mixed mode or 802.11n mode)

    Hi im running Win 7 Ultimate, ive looked on intels website but cannot seem to find any drivers for my wifi?

    Also check the settings of the WiFi adapter. You should have the 40MHz channel width enabled or set to auto - I don't really remember my settings (and I don't have access to my notebook right now).

    You don't need 40MHz channel to get above 54mbps. You can get up to 150mbps on 20MHz channel.
