    Hi everyone, long story short.

I had a cracking Toshiba laptop i tipped a pint of water over and ruined it.

Bought an iPad, utterlyb useless waste of time so gvae it to my girl who gave me this laptop as i need it for business and to have something of actual use!

Now i uninstalled the windows vista home that was on it and installed the windows vista home premium from the toshiba laptop, all good...i think.

However, for the life of me I cannot get this laptop to activate it's WI-FI capability?

    Can anyone please advise?

    Many thanks in advance,

    Chris.

Make sure that "Launch Manager" is installed (it can be downloaded from Acer support website - this file)

Also if I may - I would suggest you buy a copy of Windows 7. Windows 7 as you probably know is a lot more responsive and quick and would make a world of difference.

Excuse the dumb question but did you install it after extracting and does the Wi-Fi on/off button work?

Check if it to shows in installed apps. Also is the Wi-Fi card properly installed? Check in the device manager if it were so indeed there (without a yellow triangle)

Not a thing on which one?

Is the Launch Manager visible on the list of installed apps and running (process name is LManager.exe)

Is the Wi-Fi card properly installed - is it even visible in the device manager?
