    Aspire 5253 Atheros AR5B97 disconnect ?

    Hello,
    I am a newbie and I did a search and was unable to find anything regarding this issue. I just purchased laptop Aspire 5253-BZ660 over a month ago on sale. I have DSL Gateway Modem by 2WIRE and my isp is ATT (as if this matters). Everytime this wireless gets turned on, it disconnect internet access (red light comes on the modem as well). In other forum, someone suggested to buy another router for wireless only, but we do not want to buy another router/modem. :confused: We wondered if anyone has any experiences with this. TIA.

    I wanted to let everyone know that we found the solution accidently. We removed McAfee software and added Norton software and the problem is solved!! YaY !!
