    Hello all

So I brought a Compaq v6171cl in November and I really like it. I've been using my Blackberry 8700g as a external modem without problem until last week. The modem dials up and connects to the remote server but I can't access any browser (they say no service provider found). I spent two hours with TMo and wasn't able to solve the problem.

Now here's the fun part! I spoke with HP tech support afeter running a network diagnostic that stated and I quote“WAN Miniport (IP) Failed”. However, HP is of the opinion that this is an ISP provider issue. This conclusion was reached after deleting and reinstalling the modem was unsuccessful-twice. So I did some googling trying to solve the problem on my own. I learned that there may/should be a driver controlling the WAN (am I right?) So I called back and asked them to verify that the wireless assistant driver would solve the WAN. This rep attempted to have me delete and reinstall the modems again. When I told him bthat was unsuccessful previously and asked my software question he got smart with me. I then asked for his manager who never came to the line during the two hours that line was playing classical music. So now I'm at ARGH!!!

    Does anyone have a solution?
