Recently, my ping has been abnormally high on all 3 of my wireless G routers.

    1) 2x Trendnet TEW-432BRP wireless G router. Getting anywhere from 250ms - 2999ms ping to these 2 routers.
    2) Asus Wl-330gE wireless G router. Getting 500+ms ping all the time. Sometimes more than 1000ms ping.

Ping through all 3 router's wired lan port gives 1ms ping. Ping to www.google.com from wired lan is less than 35ms.

I have tried using my laptop 1 inch away from the wireless router and I'm still getting the high ping. So signal isn't an issue. Interference shouldn't be an issue from 1 inch away from the router, right?

I checked the error rate in the wireless router and it's below 1%.

Something is amiss, interference I would think. Do you have all of them on at the same time and in the same general area? other wireless devices around?

Also being closer is not always better, esp right next to a transmitter.

I'm rarely, run 2 routers at a time. 99% of the time, i run a single router setup. If i do run into situations where I need 2 routers, I always put the 1st router in channel 1 and the 2nd router in channel 11. All of the other routers in my area that i'm able to detect (including hidden ones), have 5% or lower signal level so they shouldn't affect my network that much. They have always been there. All of my cordless phones are 6.0Ghz band and I tested the ping when the microwave was turned off. I've always used either WPA or WPA2 encryption so there shouldn't be anybody stealing my internet. Also, I've checked the DHCP logs and there were no foreign computers connected to my routers.

The high ping time is only occuring last week. Being 1in away from the 1dbi (trendnet router) or dual 1.5dbi (asus router) antennae improves the ping by about 50ms on average. My ping goes higher further away. I've tested the ping value on 3 different computers and they all come out with similar values, so it shouldn't be a computer problem.

If its not a computer problem, then you can try a different router (since you have two of them just switch them around) if you still have the problem then its probably your isp having some issues.

I switched around all 3 router. All of them give me high ping values. There's nothing wrong with my ISP. I'm getting less than 30ms ping and more than 30Mbit/s throughput by directly connecting to the cable modem. I got around 35ms ping by connecting to the router's lan. It's just the wireless that's giving me a high ping.

Anyone close by, friend/relative with a laptop so you can check if they have the same problem when they use their wifi with your router ?

I'm tend to lean toward interference as well. Perhaps someone else added a router recently or changed thier channels.

Download the Xirrus wifi inspector tool and review your surroundings

I always use a program called wirelessnetview to check out the wifi signals in my neighborhood. The program located about 3 other wireless network (2 wep encrypted + 1 hidden network with SSID disabled WP2 encrypted). All 3 network have less than 5% signal level when measured from my router's location. These networks have been there for the past 2-3 years and have never caused a problem.

And those networks are on what channels?

OK, well, it's clear you have covered most of the bases. Maybe it's just a bad router. Have you tried replacing that?

Almost all of the other networks are on channel six and one of them is on channel 3. I have already tried 3 different router, and they all have the same result. It would suck if all 3 of my routers are broken at the same time.

It's doubtful that the router is broken. What may have happened is someone installed a 2.4GHz cordless phone or a wireless security camera or something that's causing noise. It won't show up on your wireless assays, since they aren't computer networks.
