I have been on rogers internet for years. It has been extremely fast, giving me more than my allowable speeds for years. Since switching to ignite, my speeds have been absolute garbage. Either plugged in, or on wifi. I am wondering if I ditch the pucks and wifi supplied by rogers and setup my own mesh network will I regain my internet speeds? I am so freaking close to moving to bell. It's that bad.

EDIT: I have contacted Rogers numerous times regarding this issue to no avail. I am paying for 5oombps, and I am getting between 40-100mbps.

If you are getting 100Mbps on ethernet, make sure that the modem has Gigabit ports, some crap tier ISP modems only have one or two gigabit ethernet ports and the rest is 100Mbps..
Also, if the port is Gigabit and you are getting 100Mbps, contact them..

I'm on the magic hamster wheel of Rogers customer service now. I am waiting to try another device plugged into my modem. Both are said to be gigabit ports. I should have another laptop to try in the next couple of days.

Well, I am cancelling my rogers packages after 20 years of faithful usage. As they refuse to acknowledge there is a huge issue with my and their ignite garbage. They claim it's because I have many devices running at once. Even when my son was home from university on our older Hitron modem setup, with 4 more devices connected than what I have now, I was able to surpassed the speeds I was paying for in my account. I tested today and got a measly 3.04 mbps when I am paying for 500 mbps. On the phone they just made excuses and blamed me for it. Therefore, Now I have to create new emails for my family so we can move on from the trainwreck that is rogers/verison ignite. It's a terrible system, and Rogers has terrible customer satisfaction when it comes to this new trash they are peddling.
