How can I change my wifi password? I thought it would be the easiest thing to do, but I just can't see.. I've just installed my new Dlink DIR 628 router but I wanna change the password I've set(of the WPA I guess). I know the password btw. Now I went to my router settings and tried manual config the pass and it showed a danger sign saying it conflicts with other settings. And I couldn't log into my wifi anymore. But I've changed the password back and I can connect. If I use the cd, I can change it and all, but at the end when it's at configuring router it shows - internal error : error 302..
So how do I change the pass?

    Is it WPA or WPA2?

Try manually changing the wifi password and restarting the router. Also restart your notebook.

Yeah, I guess I'll restart it. It's WPA I think.

Sounds like it might be time for that all-round cure-all, the hard reset.

Yeah I did reset. It only took about 5mins to set it back tho. But it still kinda annoys me that I couldn't change this throught router settings :/

Well I think I just messed something up when doing manual changes because the error doesn't appear anymore. That error wasn't appearing in the router settings, it was when configuring through the wizard on the CD that came with it.

You just learned the hard way ;) NEVER use the CD's that ship with any hardware. Ever. Download the generic drivers if hardware needs drivers, and if it doesn't (like a router), just don't touch it. There's almost always a manual way to do things, and it actually works, unlike with the crap software that's usually shipped. The only exception I've run into is the Logitech Harmony remotes (to take this further off-topic), which require you to install their software pretty much.
