How do these two WLAN adapters compare, in terms of reach and speed?

    Alienware M11x a/b/g/n 2x2 MIMOWireless, from AW M11x notebooks.

    and

Intel 3945 WLAN (802.11a/g), from Dell XPS 1530 notebooks.

    Thanks!

The a/b/g/n just indicates the frequency types that the wireless card can detect and use.

Thus the m11x can use all 4 frequencies while the xps can only use the 2. When it comes to practical usage Im not sure but I have read alot of forums and the general conclusion is that the wireless on the m11x is really good. The one user said that his old laptop barely detected the wireless network in his house but the m11x detected it very well (think 4 out of 5 bars) from the same spot.
