Guys I was planning to send my parents an airport extreme 4th gen

They already have a Belkin N (does 5 or 2.4 ghz) as our main router and wifi , I wanted to extend the range of our entire network wirelessly (while connecting the AEBS to the Belkin through ethernet) so that if they walk around the house they don't have to

Switch networks to access a different router
find an excuse to not be on skype be cause they'd be out of range

Allow wifi N speeds to transmit to atleast some of the wifi N units they have

I know there are better alternatives, but they are not techies and don't need port forwarding or the lot not to mention they'd like the apple thingy :) and I can get it cheap

So again can it extend a wireless network emanating from a non apple router as an airport express can? If yes plz link or tell me how

    Thanks most kindly
