While my laptop is able to connect to the internet, I still get the little red "x" on my connection status and I cannot open Network Sharing Center. When I hover the connection logo I get this error:

connection status: unknown the account specified for this service is different from the accout specified for other services running the same process

Also, I get "Error 5 access denied" when I try to disable Windows Event Log Service

Finally, this may have something to do with my tweaking of services last week to hook up my xbox to media center (something w/ certificates). Don't remember what I modified, but then again, I just started getting this issue, so they may not be related.

There is little to no documentation on this, and what I have found, does not work. Please help me. I'm crapping bricks in anger!

This is in my Windows Event Log service properties: "C:\Windows\System32\svchost.exe -k LocalServiceNetworkRestricted"

Fixed it. If anyone else has this problem simply:

    1 - Start > Run > services.msc
2 - Open Network List Service
3 - Go to Logon tab > enable second radio button (This Account), put"NT AUTHORITY\LocalService" for the account and delete the passwords.
