    Adhoc Error
    I have Inspiron 1525 and HP Pavilion dv2601tx. (Not sure about driver kindly tell me which driver i need for dv2601tx to use adhoc?)

    I tried today to connect them via adhoc network but failed...
    I am getting error "Limited access" and "Conflict ip"...
    can any one tell me more about it?

    i tried this link but for guide.

    Conflict IP means, your PC is on the same IP as another PC. Probably config is set to static IP/DNS/ Try setting it to dynamic IP / DNS and see what happens.

    Thanks for your reply but could you please tell me how to?
    Actualy my one lappy is connected to DSL and i want to use my another lappy to use net via DSL connected lappy. ADHOC i heard is the solution for me.
    dont know how to change static to dynamic

    Since adhoc does not require a router, you should set the IP's to static. By default MS gives everyone the same IP if a DHCP server is not found. Once the IP is set you will get a limited connectivity. This is OK if you do not have internet access. You also have to tell the port that it is in Adhoc operation inorder for the 2 pc to talk to each other. Personal FW may block your connection too.

    please tell me step by step procedure to enable my adhoc on both lappys? also tell me to troubleshoot limited access and ip conflict?
