So I thought id post a small tutorial on this in case anyone every wants to know or can't for the life of them find any information on it on the web (like me).

Things to remember in this are: I have not been able to successfully change the network from "hpsetup" to anything else and I haven't found a way to enter in a wep encryption. Otherwise it prints fine, but if someone else installs the drivers on their computer and wants to print stuff on my printer, well thats just how it is for right now. Anyway onto the tutorial

    1. Turn your wireless radio on the Printer on. It should glow blue

    2. Make sure your airport is on.

    3. Your Mac should automatically see "hpsetup" in its airport networks, click and select it.

    4. Go to your All-in-one and press setup on the printer, find network connections, and print network config page.

    5. Look on the page for a URL (should be somewhere near the top)

5a. This url will help you setup your printer if you would like to do so manually another time.

    6. Ok if your Mac is connected via ethernet you will need to do the following

    6a. Go to System preferences
    6b. Go to network
6c. Where it says show scroll down and select Network port configurations
6d. Click and hold on airport and drag up above ethernet.
What this does is tell your computer to recognize a wireless connection first then an ethernet connection. (I couldn't for the life of me firgure out why my mac could connect to the URL, then i accidently disconnected and it worked, which led me to this solution).

    7. After this you should be able to have an ethernet connection AND ad hoc connection to the printer.

    8. Install the HP software OR go to HP Setup Assistant and select your printer.

    9. It will ask how you want to configure your device, select Wireless network by USB connection.

    10. Complete the setup

Hopefully that helps someone out there that doesn't want to buy a wireless router or just likes to see everything their laptop is capable of. CIAO!

PS. If anyone has anything to add/correct (especially about the wep, and network name change) it would be greatly appreciated.
