    Hi All

first post on the forum so i don't know if im in the right place or not! but basically i recently bought a acer aspire 5750G and it love it apart from my wireless connection it keeps lagging!

when i run a ping test for around 2-3 minutes it will ping google at 23ms then jump up between 500-1000 it happens when im at work and home an it makes gaming unbearable! :(

i've restored my laptop i've unistalled / reinstalled drivers updated everything and i can't figure out what it is. when im plugged in via ethernet cable it does not happen at all but i bought a laptop to be mobile and wireless not plugged in.

does anyone have any suggestions as to how fix the problem!

Interesting case, I would use a wireless usb to make sure the built in card isn't faulty. Also, update the bios.

Check if power management for Wi-Fi card is set to max performance in both Windows power-profile advanced settings and in properties/advanced tab in device manager.

it was set to max in the power profile but as to your second option,

device manager > network adapters > broadcom right click properties > advance? that correct ?

if so its set to 20/40 coexistance and theres no max option

Also some anti-virus packages can do this. McAfee is notorious for interfering with wireless performance.
