    help guys,

im trying to network 2 desktops and 3 laptops.

i see all computers on both desktops and all laptos but when i click to connect to one laptop, it says that my access is denied? how do you go about this?

This is what i want to happen, i want all 5 comps to be able to connect to each other and share files.

    i use a Linksys WRT54G router btw.

It's because the user names and passwords are different, and you possibly don't have file and printer sharing set up on the different machines you want to access. www.google.com ;)

Also try disabling your anti-virus software.

That's the only way I'm able to access and move files from my desktop to my notebook (but I can access my desktop from my notebook without disabling Norton - weird, I know).

Hope you can get this worked out soon.

    :)

My laptop sees both PCs (PC1 & PC2). My PC1 sees my laptop and my PC2. My PC2 sees only PC1. When i try to access PC2 from either PC1 and my laptop, it still gives me this alert that my access is denied and the network is not found. I enabled all guest accounts on all three computers, assigned the same password, and turned off my firewall. Why's that so? How come windows makes it so difficult to network? The wizard doesnt help at all!

make sure you have the root of all the hard drives shared, otherwise windows will deny access.
