    About to Break my Router HELP!/Bandwidth question

    Hey, guys i am trying to play lost planet colonies on my router for once (usually i just use my modem) . I forwarded all the ports the game tells me to in the manual and i still cant play .. i Lose connection !!!! what im I doing wrong?
    siemens s567 thats the router i have.
    the ports i have forwarded are the following (picture)

    2nd question-
    about bandwidth.Speedtest.net
    From my isp they said i should be getting 3.0 MBps and 1 up
    i get the following

    can i complain about it? Before i had 1.3 and i got all of 1.3 + etc. Not anymore and crummy router annoying me too ... bah!

    After looking at the screenshot closer.... thats exactly what is wrong. You do not want to redirect the ports to "this router", you want to use the last radio button to redirect to the specific IP address of whatever computer on your network you're trying to play the game on.

    Change all the ones you need so they point at 192.168.1.x (where "x" is the IP of the computer running the game)

    funny thing is i had all the ports redirected to the ip duh.. lol But to try it i did it just to the router same ressults :S HELP!

    no i don't have a firewall up :p I can host on my modem that has no router.

    Use a port scanner and see it the ports are actually getting opened. And like Surfasb said check to make sure the personal FW is not blocking the ports and/or site.

    Yeah, use a port scanner to make sure they are open. Try a web based one also to make sure your router isn't acting up.

    Or you could use netstat.exe :) if you have a fetish with command line consoles.
