I recently purchased a Sony VAIO laptop and it is pre-fitted with a "Atheros AR928X" wireless network adapter.

I'm able to connect to my Linksys WRT54G Router, but the internet connection is very unstable. At times it is very slow and at times the connection is live but keeps trying to resolve host. I also noticed that the Linksys Router keeps rebooting every few minutes when I connect from the VAIO. The OS is Windows Vista Home Basic. If the router is bypassed and the laptop is connected directly to the modem via a network cable, the connection is fine.

I've been using 2 other laptops for a while now Acer (with a Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter) and Dell (with a Dell Wireless 1395 WLAN Mini) connecting to the same router - but face no such issues.

    Please help.

PS: The driver has also been updated to the latest version available on the manufactures website.

An upgrade of the router's firmware solved the issue. Thanks!
