I have two laptops that use wifi and a desktop connected by LAN. About once per hour the wifi disconnects and then reconnects after a while, 5- 10 minutes. Both laptops have this same condition. Neither one sees the wifi. The desktop remains connected. I've wiggled all connectors, attached and reattached the antenna. Is this unit junk? Should I send it back under warranty or am I missing an auto disconnect "Feature".
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

First, check to see how long the lease time is on the IP addresses the router is handing out through DHCP. If the leases are set to expire after an hour, that might be the source of your problem; if so, the simplest fix is to set the router so IP address leases never expire.

Also check you have the latest firmware (note there is also a 500gP V2). I have that router at home and it has given no problems so far in 18 months.

I think this router is DD-WRT compatible. Consider flashing if it is.
