 I am so frustrated with this ethernet adapter!
I cannot get it to finish establishing a connection to my RT-N66U router.

    • Connected ethernet cable to adapter.
    • Set EA-N66 to repeater mode in GUI.
    • Found 5 GHz network.
    • Typed in WPA2 security code.
    • Waited 2 minutes to establish connection.
    • Then prompts:
Setup wizard is unable to establish your connection, please reset your machine and start over again.
If the same problem still occurs, please contact your ISP or reseller for further informations.
If you have mac filter or access control list (ACL) enabled in your EA-N66, your EA-N66 will block you from accessing the network.
Please add the following MAC address into your EA-N66 Mac filter/ACL list or reset your EA-N66 for a successful connection.

I have added the EA-N66's MAC into the router's filter list.

I have resetted numerous times over with same results!
Have updated to the latest firmware as well.

Video of completed connection (I don't get past this point).

    Did you try 2.4 instead?

Yes I have tried several times.
It will not connect to either band.

    - Have ASUS technical helping out now.

Reading about with this unit you have to +1 to the MAC address if filtering through router?

"If you have MAC filtering on in the RT-N66U
    - you need to add to filtering is the MAC ID of the EA-N66 +1"

I'm using MAC filtering on the RT-N66U.
So is this the reason it is not connecting?
The MAC address of the EA-N66 has been added to the list.

Tried disabling MAC filtering on router per ASUS.
No final page - network timeout. No signal response in router device list.

Packing it in after the following:

    • Hard reset of EA-N66
    • Updated to lastest router firmware (Tomato / Shibby 110 AIO)
    • Placed EA-N66 adjacent to RT-N66U router
    • No established connection
    • No final setup process page
    • Soft reset of EA-N66
    • Disabled MAC filtering on router
    • No final setup process page - Network Timeout
