I have some problems with my WLAN card. Sometimes it finds my Wireless network right away, other times it takes hours.

I have tried reinstalling the drivers but still.. sometimes the card just cant find the wlan.

I am sitting like one feet away from the wireless router...

Anyone got any idea what might be going on here?

    The laptop is brand new..

Can you connect to other wireless networks without problems? I would suggest finding that out first so we can isolate the problem to the laptop or the router.

If you have a raylink it's junk. My avertec came with one. It drops connection being 10' from the AP with high gain antennas. I went with a pcmci card. Then here a while back I ran across this on another forum. http://www.netgate.com/index.php?cPath=26_34

I have not tried it on another router, but there are three other laptops in the appartment, and they have no problems finding the wlan..

It dosent find any WLANs at all, its not just the one from my router. The other laps get 2-3 other WLANs as well, so I do not think its the router.

When I first connect to the WLAN everything works greate, and If I disable the card, and then enable it again, it finds the WLAN right away.

Another strange thing is that when I finally get connected, I only get up our WLAN, not the other once that the other three laptop gets.

I have installed the newest drivers straight from Intel.
