These two protocols (AEGIS 3.7.5 and WLAN transport) seem to have been installed when I upgraded my computer's Intel 2200BG wireless drivers. What do they do and are they necessary?

    From DSL Reports forum:

I couldn't find much on WLAN transport, but I would keep it until you know what it does.

I did some experimenting and disabling WLAN transport caused the Intel wireless configuration utility to stop functioning so I think it may be somehow associated.

I do not load them, they stopped my wireless from working. Not required unless you are running on that type of network. I run the bare minimum, TCP/IP and MS Client.
