    Hi!

I have a modem (Beetel 220BX1 ADSL 2+) which can be connected to in two ways (at the same time too if wanted), via USB, or via a CAT-5 cable. It was all working fine earlier under Windows Vista Home Premium x86. But I've recently installed Windows Vista Ultimate x64, and I don't have the drivers for the USB connectivity (when I plug in the CAT-5 cable, it works fine). Now, I've searched the Internet a lot, and my ISP doesn't have the drivers for an x64 based OS. Is there any way I can use the USB connection? A work-around? Any other drivers that can work with this modem? Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks! :)

Why do you want to use the USB connection?

Isn't cat-5 faster for internet connection?

I have to connect two laptops (mine, and my friend's) at the same time. I can connect through LAN, but I need to make the USB connection work.

Oh? I didn't you could at the same time.

Put your friend's on USB then >-< lol (if that's an option).

You might look beetel's website maybe...

My friend has Windows XP Professional SP2. She can connect through LAN as well, but whenever she uses the USB connection, it dies after 1-2 minutes. :(

So it's only one USB cable and two notebooks, unless I get help here.

Although she said if I put one end of the cable in her notebook, and the other in mine, maybe we can both use the Internet! That is my last resort!

Get your self a router as suggested. It will give you a hardware FW that you do not have now. Then more than 2 can connect if needed.
