I just got a 9300... XP home edition...

So as soon as it got to my house I reformatted it and installed XP Pro. I installed all my programs, and configured it to attach to my router. I used the drivers from my XPS2 to install on my 9300, because dell didn't send me drivers with my 9300. So the internet was working fine.... until later on at night it just stopped. Ilooked at the dell wireless agent pro thing... and it says my connection is fine, however the IP address lsited is some crazy ass address. furthermore, when I attempt to access any webpage, it doesn't load! it says the connection is VERY GOOD, but I say the connection is VERY NOT THERE.

Any suggestions? I seriouslly doubt it was because I installed a different driverCD... I mean a card is a card is a card, who cares what brand (XPS or 9300) dell stamps on it, it should all work the same... any other suggestions? I'm running 2 other desktops and 3 other notebooks through a router, if that helps any...

    Help...?

I've found that sometimes the driver from Intel's website works better. I think they just released a new one. Provided you have an intel card.

Thanks, I'm trying that now... (actually I already had it downloaded but dismissed it as the problem, thinking the ones on the CD were identical)

Thanks for the tip though, I'll let you know how it goes. :)

    *sigh... more wasted cds* lol

Also should have said updating your router's firmware can help.
