Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me with a connectivity issue between my Sparklan wpea-124n card and Dlink DGL-4500. I'm getting 300Mbps at both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz. When I transfer large files I get throughput (seen in task manager), about 10-15% with my laptop right next to the router. Not fantastic but acceptable I guess. The problem happens after a minute or so into the transfer, the connection is dropped and I get a "network name is no longer available). Sometimes the card completely hangs and I have to reboot to get it restarted. I've tried several driver versions but no luck.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    onedigit

I had a similar problem with Netgear router and had to flash the firmware of the router.

Thanks kego, I should have mentioned that I’m using WINXP. In any case I’ve tried many driver versions all with the same result.

I’m not sure what you’re asking but if you’re asking what my ISP download speed is, it’s normal, no problems there, just internal networking is the problem.

This issue some times happens when you have a slow DL, but since you have a "normal" DL, whatever this is supposed to be, my question is therefore irelevant.

Have you registered the router with D-Link? If so, have you registered for the D-Link forums, and looked to see if anyone else has a similar problem? There might be a beta firmware release that addresses the issue.

You could also try disabling Traffic Shaping under QOS. I've heard that traffic shaping can cause slowdowns.

Thanks, kego, I will investigate this and also check the d-link forums. Appreciate the feedback!
